Cleaner AI — Privacy Policy

Cleaner AI, developed by MossTech Ltd., helps users organize their Gmail inbox by showing sender names, email subjects, and snippets, and by allowing users to delete or unsubscribe from unwanted messages. We value your privacy and are committed to being transparent about how your data is accessed and handled.

2. Data Access and Purpose

Cleaner AI requests limited Gmail permissions (“scopes”) necessary to perform its intended functions:

gmail.readonly — Reads message metadata (sender, subject, snippet) for display in the app.
gmail.metadata — Accesses email headers like “List-Unsubscribe” to help users manage subscriptions.
mail.google.com — Enables users to delete or move messages to Trash using Gmail API features.

Lower-level scopes cannot support unsubscribe or batch deletion operations. Each permission is requested solely to enable user-initiated features.

3. Data Handling and Processing

All actions within Cleaner AI are explicitly initiated by the user. The app does not collect, transmit, or store email content or personal data on external servers. Processing occurs locally on the user’s device whenever possible. Authentication and data access occur through Google’s secure OAuth 2.0 protocol.

4. No Data Storage or Third-Party Sharing

Cleaner AI does not permanently store any Gmail data. No user emails, message content, or personally identifiable information are saved on MossTech or third-party servers. We do not share, sell, or transfer user data to any third parties. Cleaner AI does not include advertising or analytics that access Gmail data.

5. User Control and Revocation

Users may revoke Cleaner AI’s access at any time from their Google Account settings: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. After revocation, Cleaner AI can no longer read or modify Gmail data. Because Cleaner AI does not store any Gmail data, no additional deletion action is required.

6. Security

Cleaner AI uses encrypted HTTPS connections and Google’s OAuth 2.0 for secure authentication. No credentials or message content are ever stored on our servers. Users are encouraged to maintain device security (e.g., passwords, OS updates) to further protect their accounts.

7. Legal Compliance

Cleaner AI follows Google’s API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We will only disclose information when legally required to do so.

8. Children’s Privacy

Cleaner AI is not designed for individuals under 13 years of age and does not knowingly collect information from minors.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted at https://mosstechltd.com/privacy.html and the effective date above will reflect the latest revision.
